OFL Fonts

Here is a listing of some OFL-licensed fonts, listed by script. If you would like to have your fonts listed here, please contact us. Additional OFL-licensed fonts can also be found amongst the listing of freely-licensed fonts at the  Unicode Font Guide.

Roman/Latin

Gentium - Extended Roman/Latin, including phonetic transcription. Supports Unicode 3. [Regular, Italic]

Doulos SIL - Extended Roman/Latin, including phonetic transcription. Supports Unicode 5, includes smart font code for diacritic positioning. [Regular]

Charis SIL - Extended Roman/Latin, including phonetic transcription. Supports Unicode 5, includes smart font code for diacritic positioning. [Regular, Italic, Bold, Bold Italic]

Andika Design Review - Early version of a new sans serif typeface for literacy work. Current version has limited character set, but will eventually be expanded to be like other SIL fonts. [Regular]

SIL Encore Font Sources - PostScript source files for the fonts in the SIL Encore Fonts package. Not intended for direct installation, but can be used to create derivative fonts. [Regular, Italic, Bold, Bold Italic for the SIL Doulos, SIL Charis, SIL Sophia and SIL Manuscript font families]

 Linux Libertine - Similar to Times Roman. [Regular, Italic, Bold, Bold Italic, Small Caps, Underline]

 Century Catalogue - Alternate digital version of ATF Century Oldstyle, but from a larger master size. [Regular]

 Inconsolata - Monospaced font sponsored by the TeX Users Group Development Fund. [Regular monospaced]

 Old Standard Covers a wide range of Latin, Greek and Cyrillic characters - includes OpenType features. [Regular and Italic]

 Briep - Personal handwriting. [Regular]

Cyrillic

Doulos SIL - Extended Cyrillic, including phonetic transcription. Supports Unicode 5, includes smart font code for diacritic positioning. [Regular]

Charis SIL - Extended Cyrillic, including phonetic transcription. Supports Unicode 5, includes smart font code for diacritic positioning. [Regular, Italic, Bold, Bold Italic]

Ethiopic

Abyssinica SIL - Abyssinica SIL is based on Ethiopic calligraphic traditions. It supports all Ethiopic characters which are in Unicode including the Unicode 4.1 extensions. Some languages of Ethiopia are not yet able to be fully represented in Unicode and, where necessary, we have included non-Unicode characters in the Private Use Area. [Regular - no other weights planned]

Greek

Gentium - Extended Greek, both Ancient and Modern. [Regular, Italic]

 GFS Didot - Greek font family with a variety of styles available.

 GFS Olga - Greek font family with a variety of styles available.

 GFS Porson - Greek font family with a variety of styles available.

Hebrew

Ezra SIL - Ezra SIL is fashioned after the square letter forms of the typography of the Biblia Hebraica Stuttgartensia (BHS), a beautiful Old Testament volume familiar to Biblical Hebrew scholars. The Ezra SIL font is an OpenType “smart” font. It is designed to work with Office 2003 and above. [Regular]

Myanmar

Padauk - Myanmar extended encoding with support for Sgaw Karen, Mon. [Regular, Bold]

Tibetan

 Jomolhari - Jomolhari is a Bhutanese style dbu-can font for Tibetan and Dzongkha text. [Regular]

Vai

SIL Vai - Legacy (non-Unicode) font for the Vai script of Liberia. [Regular, Bold]

Yi

SIL Yi - Unicode font for the Yi script. [Regular]

Zaghawa Beria

Zaghawa Beria - Legacy (non-Unicode) font for the Zaghawa Beria script of Central Africa. [Regular]

Other

 MusiQuik and MusiSync - Music notation fonts.

 3 of 9 barcode font - Barcode font designed with Microsoft Word 2003 in mind.
