IntroductionPadauk is a fully capable Unicode 6 font supporting all the Myanmar characters in the standard. Thus it provides support for minority languages as well, in both local and Burmese rendering style. RequirementsPadauk includes the necessary Graphite smarts to render Myanmar script correctly. Thus if you want to use this font you will need the Graphite libraries and Graphite capable applications or graphics extensions. Padauk also has OpenType tables which allow it to be rendered using a basic shaping engine and so allows the font to be used in such applications as Word. LicensePadauk is released under the Open Font License. InstallersThe source tarball contains the source and release fonts and smart font code.
The Windows installer installs the font onto your Windows based system
For platforms that don't use an installer, e.g. MacOSX, the following zip file contains the same fonts as the other installers.
The Debian package is available for Ubuntu by adding the line: deb to the list of repositories. In addition an architecture independent package is available here for direct download. The Debian installer is designed for all Debian systems, including Ubuntu (being binary independent). It is dependent on libfreetype6, libxft2 and fontconfig packages.
