Font Downloads SIL Apparatus Font Download
Apparatus and Unicode This SIL Apparatus Font System is a pre-Unicode or “legacy” font system. These fonts are superseded by the Unicode-encoded Apparatus SIL. The download file (SILAPFON.EXE) is a self-extracting archive. After the download is complete use File Manager or Explorer to select the drive icon where the SILAPFON.EXE file is located. Find SILAPFON.EXE in the directory window and double-click on it. This will extract the files to the current directory. (In the Windows 3.1 File Manager you may need to press F5 to update the directory screen). Once the files are decompressed, look in the newly created SILAPFON directory for the Users Guide (APPGUIDE.PDF). Follow the instructions in this document to install the SIL Apparatus

Downloading and Installing the Macintosh PackageTo download the package click one of the links below. The download file will be either a MacBinary (.bin) or BinHex file (.hqx). Use Stuffit Expander or similar utility to decode the file. The result will be a self-extracting archive (SIL Apparatus Fonts.sea). If your utility has not already decompressed the contents of the archive, double-click on it. This will
create a new folder on your hard drive named “SIL Apparatus Fonts”. Look in this folder for the SIL Apparatus Users Guide. Follow the instructions in this document to install the fonts. Note
