Consistent Changes Program and User's GuideThe Consistent Changes (CC) program is useful for finding all occurrences of specified characters, words, or phrases in a text file or series of text files, and making some type of change to this data in a consistent way. The change may be done in every occurrence found or only when certain conditions are met. CC is like the search and replace feature in a text editor, except much more powerful because it allows you to make changes which take context into consideration. Beyond the search and replace feature, CC can also be used to count words in a text, insert or remove text, or reorder parts of a text. The User's Guide is designed to be a reference manual, although instructional information has been included on some of the more advanced features of the Consistent Changes (CC) program. The purpose of the User's Guide is to fully describe the CC program (CC.EXE), which is part of the Direct Translator Support package. Macintosh users please note that CC was originally an MS-DOS program so there are many references to directories and paths specific to MS-DOS users. However, the information about CC table development is still relevant to Macintosh users. Download
