Arabic Script Unicode Fonts — Downloads

Please note: There are two licensing options

Version 1.0 of our Arabic Script fonts, Scheherazade and Lateef, were released as copyrighted freeware. All future versions will be released under SIL's Open Font License instead.

In the meantime we have released ScheherazadeRegOT 1.005 and LateefRegOT 1.001 under the Open Font License. In almost all respects these fonts are exactly the same as the 1.0 versions. The only differences are:

• The change to Open Font License
• The addition of SIL TypeTuner tables to make it possible to access alternate behaviors of the fonts. To download fonts with alternate behaviors, visit TypeTuner Web.

Thus you will find two download sections available on this page:

• Scheherazade 1.005 and Lateef 1.001, released under the Open Font License
• Scheherazade 1.0 and Lateef 1.0, released as copyrighted freeware

The only changes between version 1.0 (see below) and these OFL releases are:
