Transfer of Gentium to SIL International becomes public

Gentium has now been embraced by  SIL International. SIL plans to continue its development under the guidance of its designer,  Victor Gaultney, and with the help of Annie Olsen and other members of the SIL NRSI team. It will remain freely available. Expansion of the glyph set to include more extended Latin glyphs, archaic Greek symbols, and full Cyrillic script support is the next step. Work on this has already begun, but the results will not be available for a few months. Addition of bold and bold italic faces will follow.

Maintenance release (1.01) of Gentium posted

Version 1.01 of Gentium has been posted to the new Gentium site. This is a maintenance release focused on changing the font name and other font information to reflect the changeover to an SIL project. There is only one bug fix - the greek mu PS name was changed to try and fix a display/printing problem.
