Production-quality fonts

Complex Roman and Cyrillic

The license terms below do not apply to these fonts. These fonts are released under the SIL Open Font License (OFL).

Andika, Charis SIL, Doulos SIL and Gentium Plus are complete Roman and Cyrillic fonts containing Graphite tables to handle stacking diacritics, IPA tone contours, and alternate glyph shapes. Gentium Plus also has complete Greek coverage.

Burmese

The license terms below do not apply to this font. This font is released under the SIL Open Font License (OFL).

Padauk is a font developed by SIL to handle the Burmese script.

Greek

These fonts also include Latin and Cyrillic.

Sophia Nubian is a font developed for Nubian languages which use the Coptic Unicode character set.

Khmer

Ethiopic

The Graphite smarts in Abyssinica SIL support gemination marks on PUA characters.

Dai Banna

The license terms below do not apply to these fonts. These fonts are released under the SIL Open Font License (OFL).

Roman script variations

 Magyar Linux Libertine is a Graphite-enabled font with ligatures, small caps, old style numbers, proportional or monospaced numbers, automatic thousand separators, minus sign, real superscript and subscript, German umlaut variants and capital eszett, fractions, number to number name conversion (in 23 languages).

Experimental fonts

These fonts are not considered official releases and may not provide a complete implementation of the script they represent. However, they can be useful for demonstrating Graphite's capabilities and learning how to program with GDL.

Arabic

An alpha version of the SIL's Scheherazade font with Graphite support for the entire Arabic Unicode block; therefore it will handle many languages other than Arabic whose characters are present in Unicode.

Note that this version of the font does not include OpenType tables and therefore will not behave correctly with Uniscribe. See the main Arabic Fonts page to download the official release of Scheherazade which include OpenType support.

Tamil

N'Ko

Rudimentary implementation of the N'Ko script of West Africa, using the Koli Nko Manden font developed by Mamady Doumboya. Includes a Keyman keyboard. (Updated March 2006 to use proposed Unicode 5.0 codepoints.)
