OFL Mailing Lists

There are two OFL-related lists that you may wish to join:

OFL-announce - This list will announce new versions or developments regarding the SIL Open Font License, or fonts that are released under the OFL. Anyone may subscribe to this list, but only the list administrators can post announcements. Traffic is expected to be minimal, and months may go by without any postings. Membership of this list is private, meaning that no one other than the list administrators may view the membership list.
OFL-discuss - This list will be the forum for discussion of the OFL, including the initial review and ongoing refinement and use. Subscription requests will be moderated to avoid spam or other abuse, but we do not intend to refuse membership to any real person. Only subscribers may post, but the archives will be public. The list of members is not public, but will be available to other list members.

List guidelines

We ask that you respect your fellow list members by only posting messages that are directly related to the OFL, and by refraining from offensive and inflammatory comments. The list administrators will swiftly ban members who ignore this request.

While this may seems obvious, we also ask you to respect the basic Netiquette rules so that the signal-to-noise ratio stays good enough for the discussion to get somewhere: avoid top-posting, do not add long or inappropriate signatures, trim messages, quote properly and read before you post.

Note that opinions expressed on the list do not necessarily reflect the views of SIL International.
