Production quality fonts

Complex Roman and Cyrillic

Andika, Charis SIL, Doulos SIL and Gentium Plus are complete Roman and Cyrillic fonts containing Graphite tables to handle stacking diacritics, IPA tone contours, and alternate glyph shapes. Gentium Plus also has complete Greek coverage.

Recent maintenance releases of these fonts are available support the 4-character alphanumeric tags required by Firefox.

Myanmar (Burmese)

Padauk is a font developed by SIL to handle the Burmese script. Its Graphite support is particularly useful for minority languages.

Devanagari

Annapurna renders Devanagari for languages of north India and Nepal, including support for minority variations.

Tamil

The  Krishna Tamil font is a Graphite-enabled font derived from Lohit Tamil. It handles classical Tamil orthogrphy and old Tamil grammatical sequences.

Tai Viet

Tai Heritage Pro supports the Tai Viet script as used for Tai Dam and related languages of Southeast Asia.

Greek

These fonts also include Latin and Cyrillic.

Coptic

Sophia Nubian is a font developed for Nubian languages which use the Coptic Unicode character set.

Ethiopic

The Graphite smarts in Abyssinica SIL support alternate feature selection of glyph variants as well as gemination combining marks.

Dai Banna

A set of fonts for the Dai Banna or New Tai Lue script can be found here.

Javanese

 Tuladha Jejeg includes both Graphite and OpenType for Javanese.

Lanna (Tai Tham)

 Lanna Unicode includes both Graphite and OpenType.

Miao

 Miao Unicode is a Graphite-enabled font for displaying the Miao or Pollard script used in China.

Roman script variations

 Magyar Linux Libertine is a Graphite-enabled font with ligatures, small caps, old style numbers, proportional or monospaced numbers, automatic thousand separators, minus sign, real superscript and subscript, German umlaut variants and capital eszett, fractions, number to number name conversion (in 23 languages).

Tamil Brahmi

The  Adinatha Tamil Brahmi font provides support for the subset of the historical Brahmi script used in Tamil Nadu.

Cipher Music

Doulos SIL Cipher supports the cipher music notation system that is used in China and Indonesia. The font is still under development.

Tengwar

 Tengwar is an "Elvish" script developed by J. R. R. Tolkien.

Experimental fonts

These fonts are not considered official releases and may not provide a complete implementation of the script they represent. However, they can be useful for demonstrating Graphite's capabilities and learning how to program with GDL.

Arabic

An alpha version of the SIL's Scheherazade font with Graphite support for the entire Arabic Unicode block; therefore it will handle many languages other than Arabic whose characters are present in Unicode.

Note that this version of the font does not include OpenType tables and therefore will not behave correctly with Uniscribe. See SIL's Arabic Fonts page to download the official release of Scheherazade which includes OpenType support.

An alpha version of Scheherazade 2.0 has been released for testing. It includes both Graphite and OpenType support, but no GDL source code is available.

Tamil

Based on James Kass's Code2000 font. Graphite source code and Keyman keyboard included.
