SIL Tai Dam and Unicode This SIL Tai Dam fonts are a pre-Unicode or “legacy” font system. These fonts are superceded by the Unicode-encoded Tai Heritage Pro font. Answer: This may be due to the Smart Quotes feature of many programs – If this feature is turned on you will get incorrect results when using the keyboards. Turn this feature off when using the keyboards. Known IssuesDocumentation troublesome in Acrobat Reader 3 - Win/MacWhen printing the Users Guide from Acrobat Reader 3, some of the standard Roman characters and punctuation may print with the wrong font (such as Times New Roman or Courier New). In some cases the TaiHeritage-Bold font will also print erroneous characters. Using Acrobat Reader 4 will avoid this problem. Postscript NamesThe Postscript names used within the font do not conform to Adobe’s guidelines and could cause problems with some applications. We will consider changing them if there is enough need from users. Contact UsAs our fonts and utilities are distributed at no cost, we are unable to provide a commercial level of personal technical support. We will, however, try to resolve problems that are reported to us. We do hope that you will report problems so they can be addressed in future releases. Even if you are not having any specific problems, but have an idea on how this system could be improved, we want to hear your ideas and suggestions. Please note that our software products are intended for use by experienced computer users. Installing and using them is not a trivial matter. The most effective technical support is usually provided by an experienced computer user who can personally sit down with you at your computer to troubleshoot the problem.
