Table of Contents for this web page: Frequently Asked QuestionsQuestion: Why isn't my keyboard working correctly? I'm not getting the right characters sometimes. The single and double-quote seem to be reversed. Answer: This may be due to the Smart Quotes feature of many programs - If this feature is turned on you will get incorrect results when using the keyboards. Turn this feature off when using the keyboards. In addition, the straight quote key and straight double quote are not assigned in this keyboard and shouldn't be used. See the documentation for how to type quotes. Question: Nothing seems to happen when I type the letters "wa". With some combinations, the screen flashes or the font changes to Times New Roman for no reason. Answer: Installation of certain other languages such as right-to-left or Far Eastern languages may affect the keyboard. To avoid this problem, be sure to associate the Vai keyboard with a specific language such as Icelandic. Follow the complete instructions for installation and turning on the keyboard found in Install.pdf or Keyboard Installation and Use.
